With Gratitude This Thanksgiving
Nov 27, 2008

Wishing You a Happy Thanksgiving.

Our work in Cameroon is making a difference.  The 67 orphaned chimpanzees at Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue Center are living in peace, surrounded by the love and care of their adopted families.  In addition to providing sanctuary to orphans, IDA-Africa is working hard to spread the word of compassion so that attitudes and behaviors may change in favor of the well-being and survival of endangered great apes.

Fighting the illegal commercial trade in chimpanzee and gorilla meat is a large undertaking made possible with your help.  And for that we are grateful.  In the faces of the chimpanzees at Sanaga-Yong Center and those who still live in the wild forests, we see hope and inspiration.

Your participation, your willingness to reach out beyond your immediate family, beyond the borders of your country, into the lives of these amazing individuals...that is what creates the hope.  The chimpanzees...they are the inspiration.

Thank you.
